Author Summary

Annora is willing to do anything to save her father from the dark eros of an evil witch-mother and two demonic step-sisters. It's a perilous task, battling such awful magic, but she doesn't have to face danger alone; a fairy man waits to make all Annora's wishes come true—for a price.

This is not Walt Disney's Cinderella, dear reader. This is As You Wish, a Cinderella story from author A. Violet End.

My Thoughts

As You Wish, A Cinderella Story has all the elements of the classic fairy tale, enhanced beautifully with an erotic touch and written with a timeless elegance.

There’s a prince, a fairy man, a damsel in distress, evil stepmother and sisters, and lots of majicks. While the essence of the fairy tale Cinderella is the same, the characters and storyline are much further developed than the classical tale making this story even more enjoyable. Annora is a fabulously strong heroine with a huge weakness for Charming.  And, to my delight, Charming is not at all what I expected. The author throws in some great plot twists that were splendid in their unveiling.

I really enjoyed this short tale and I think the popularity of adult fairy tales is nothing short of fabulous. And for those of us who embrace our naughty side, this is a most sinful and enjoyable recipe.

Unlike this author’s Grimm and Dirty Fairy Tales series, As You Wish is more erotic romance than erotica, which is perfect for the tale of Cinderella in my opinion. If you enjoy this, then you should check out her collection of erotic fairy tales as well. Shorter reads but well worth it.

Happy Reading!!

Cover Reveal…As You Wish (A Cinderella Story) by A. Violet End

Looking for something different to read? I have just the thing…

A. Violet End is soon releasing her first erotic romance novel and it's based on the fairy tale we all know and love…Cinderella.

Intrigued? I know I was so I asked Violet a few things about it. I'd like to share with you the novel’s beautiful cover and what she had to say about the story.

A little about As You Wish…

Annora is willing to do anything to save her father from the dark eros of an evil witch-mother and two demonic step-sisters. It's a perilous task, battling such awful magic, but she doesn't have to face danger alone; a fairy man waits to make all Annora's wishes come true--for a price. This is not Walt Disney's Cinderella, dear reader. This is As You Wish, a Cinderella story coming soon from author A. Violet End.

Gorgeous cover, yes? Absolutely stunning! Here’s what the author has to say about the novel…

Is it anything like the Grimm & Dirty Tales?
Yes and no.  Mostly no.  It's a fairy tale.  It's based on my reading of the original, but I threw almost all the baby out with this bathwater and redid it.  In my Grimm & Dirty Tales, characters are less three dimensional.  They're more like paper dolls.  In As You Wish, it was as though two paper dolls fell in love with one another, broke the fourth wall, and said "Hey, writer!  Take a note!  We'd like a bit more story in our story, please!"  Once I realized what had happened, I was compelled to go back through the book and clean it up.  When one falls in love, one isn't near as crude as when one is just being Grimm & Dirty.  So, no, this book is quite different, although WHY I decided to write a romance when for 23 stories in a row I was content to just write smut, I do not know.  I guess it took me 23 tries to fall in love, what can I say?  Frog kissing is fun, too, let's not knock it!

How does it compare to the Billionaire books?
Tristan and Lisa have a relationship...sorta.  Okay, the Diary of a F*ckdoll books have obviously taken a Sci Fi turn with the addition of part 5.  That saga will be over in part 7, and yes, there is something like a relationship happening between Tristan and Lisa, but it's not a romance.  That series is pure erotica.  As You Wish is about two characters who do the dirty, sure, but they also fall deeply, deeply in love.  And being fairy tale characters, it's a tough call how much of their personalities to draw.  Fairy tales are about archetypes, right?  In that way, I guess As You Wish has something in common with The Billionaire Who...stories, because Tristan and Lisa are archetypal, as well.  It is my great hope that by the time I get through this final ass-kicking edit of As You Wish, I will simply be presenting you with the finest story I've ever written.  Hot, sweet, dark, dirty, and romantic as hell.

This sounds really good. I can’t wait to give this one a try. Coming very soon...

Author Summary

She’s fed up with being fed on.

All Miranda Thibodeaux really wants to do is survive corporate hell and be left alone. But as the daughter of the Incubi king, being left alone isn’t on her schedule. And as an avatar to a goddess with multiple personality issues, taking things in stride isn’t either.

Daniel looks like an ordinary surfer boy—T. T. B.--Tall, Tanned, and Blond. Hot he may be, but ordinary he’s not. Beneath the pretty packaging lies a ruthless warrior, a servant to the Vampire Council. His mission is to find Miranda and present her to the council, then get the hell out of Dodge before he loses his focus. The last thing he needs is the distraction of the testy female.

When circumstances force Miranda to turn to T.T.B. for help, they both end up with more than they bargained for. And that normal human life she wanted? Not really doable when everyone wants a piece of her...

My Thoughts

This novel is seriously HOT!  From Chapter 1 through to the end. Since the heroine is an incubus, it’s to be expected. Wall sex, shower sex, dressers, beds and floors…well you get the idea. When an incubus is involved, expect things to happen anywhere, anytime.

And all of it is fantastic and titillating, but really, what I liked most about this novel is the unexpected entertainment value I got from it. The detailed worldbuilding, the storyline and the heroine surprised me.

There’s a whole world built around a society of covens, a Vampire Council and Guardians who worked for the Council. We get a glimpse into the politics surrounding each. There are elements of fantasy and mythology as well. It’s obvious that the author took her time to build this world and ensure the setting, culture, characters and other details blended nicely.

Then a great storyline emerges telling us how vampires can no longer be born and haven’t for 100 years, and how the heroine will play a significant role in bringing about a change. Throw in a badass villain to muddy things up, a hot as hell hero (or two) and I was a happy happy reader.

There are plenty of action scenes (not just sex) but actual fighting where our heroine shines and kicks some serious ass. I really liked the heroine, Miranda, and found her to have many dimensions to her character. She actually had a human upbringing and we see how she struggled to accept what she was and what she now has to do to survive. Despite it all, she amazingly holds onto her individuality and independence. As bothered as she is by some things she has to do, she accepts her fate and learns how to deal with it best she can.

There are lots of great characters, both human and supernatural. I would like to have seen a little more development of the hero Daniel. But this is the first in a series, so I imagine my curiosity will be fulfilled in upcoming novels. I found the villain to be particularly compelling. Despicable but still very convincing.

So bottom line is if you are looking for a very erotic supernatural tale with a good storyline, strong worldbuilding with elements of fantasy and mythology, Hunger Embraced will do it for you. I really enjoyed my reading experience and happily recommend it!

Happy Reading!!

Author Summary

Grecian Fantasies hosts one of the hottest balls in town, a naughty-nobody-knows-your-name masquerade that is not only exclusive, but is also not for the faint of heart. Pleasure, fantasy, fetish, and vice are all on the menu at this ball. The only thing not up for grabs is the notorious woman behind its creation, but that is about to change.

My Thoughts

The-Adonis is a short story that really gets you thinking about that one that got away. The characters are believable; the story is compelling and nicely written so it’s engaging from beginning to end. I found the story unique, heartfelt and even funny at times. The chemistry between the characters shines and it just makes you feel sexy reading it.

I think this story definitely has the potential to be a full-length novel and I found myself not wanting it to end. So if you’re looking for a short provocative read with a unique plot or just something different, this is it.

About the Characters…

Theadonis, the heroine of this story, is a complex one. She shows strength and courage that not many people have, yet enough vulnerability to arouse compassion from those not so willing to give it in her situation. She’s a little quiet and unassuming, adding an element of mystery to her personality that is intriguing. I would love to see this short story as a novel so her character could be further developed and we could learn what’s really under the surface.

Our hero, Rob, is a very believable character. His reaction as he finds out what his past flame has been up to is completely convincing, although I would have loved to see him throw a big hissy fit. There’s nothing quite as entertaining as an alpha male in a hissy fit. His discomfort at the Grecian ball had me laughing out loud. While, his attempts at being cool and sophisticated were admirable, it was obvious he was way out of his element.

The chemistry between these two is heartfelt and I found myself rooting for them all the way.

Bottom Line

This is a very entertaining and well-written short story that any lover of Erotic Romance will not want to miss out on. Compelling characters in a unique setting for an older-than-time regret most of us can relate to, will definitely made you glad you read it.

Happy Reading!!

Author Summary
--Product
His striking blue eyes and hot caresses haunt Raven’s dreams leaving her longing each day for more, but are they dreams or something more?

--Warning:
This book contains graphic depictions of sexual activity including oral sex and masturbation. It is intended for mature audiences not offended by explicit representations of sexual activity between consenting adults.

My Thoughts

Of Ghosts & Dreams is a short story about a woman who has a recurring dream of a man who arouses her beyond what she could ever imagine.  The dreams are so heartfelt that she starts to believe they are actually real. Intuitively, she knows they can’t be but everything in her entire being is telling her he is real. Especially when she awakens from these dreams feeling so lost its as if a piece of her is missing without him. Oftentimes, she questions her own sanity.

There is an overall intensity and impassioned feel to this story. Even though it’s a short story, the author developed Raven’s character so well that we end up really caring what happens to her and even fretting that she seems so unhappy.  With this type of story, we need to know intimately what the characters are thinking so the choice to have very little dialogue is a perfect one. A testament to the skill and expertise of this author.

This story resonated with me on a few levels. Bear with me for a bit while I digress. I swear I will make a relevant point. While most young girls I grew up with were obsessed with dance or piano lessons, I dreamed of the paranormal.  Ever since I was old enough to get my hands on an Anne Rice novel, I dreamed of meeting a vampire or some other supernatural creature. Strange I know, but I am being serious.  Also, I’m particularly fond of romance novels and used to ‘borrow’ my older sisters Harlequin Romances and hide away to read them.  My mom would have disciplined me severely had I been caught. So at a young age, I put the two together and my love for paranormal romance was born.  So, I promised I had a point…I believe this is why I really enjoyed this short story so much.   Parkerson combines both my favourite genres in a well-written, character-driven, engaging tale - one that leaves an opening for a future novel and desperately hoping this will happen.  For me, even though it was a short read, it fulfilled desires deeply rooted in my being.

Author Summary
Vampire Queen and Demon son – Together they will wreak havoc and total destruction. Or at least, that’s what the prophecy says. When a sex-seething succubus focuses in on Ella Grey, a half-breed vampire and her Shadow Hunting partner, Micah McGregor, a power is released neither can control or comprehend.

A chain of events is triggered, forcing Ella and Micah down a shadowed path riddled with unrestrained passion, violence and betrayal. The truth of Micah’s demonic origins will reveal a heart-breaking conspiracy within the Shadow Agency that once swore to protect humanity from vampires and demons. Ella and Micah are proof that nothing is as it appears.

My Thoughts

First off, I have to say this novel just flat out did it for me!  From the very start, the chemistry between Ella and Micah jumps off the page.  There is an intensity and completely impassioned feel to this novel.  A great love story and a solid engaging plot, this is a novel that a Paranormal Romance fan will not want to miss out on.

About the story…

For 500 years, the Shadow Agency has been protecting humanity from vampires and demons.  Ella and Micah are both Shadow Hunters sworn to uphold and protect.  One problem…Ella is now a half-vampire.  Her ex-lover is a vampire and he tried to turn her when she was gravely injured.  However, the attempt wasn’t successful and Ella ended up somewhere in between.  She has a vampire’s fangs and lust for blood, however she refuses to give into the temptation. She promised the Shadow Agency she never would otherwise they would kill her outright.  Micah is Ella’s hunting partner sent to watch and report back to the head of the Agency (his father) on whether Ella is a threat.

There is a demon prophecy that foretells of a Vampire Queen and Demon Son who will cause mayhem and destruction on the world that will lead to total destruction.  During one of Ella and Micah’s hunts, the intensity of their lust attracted the attention of a succubus demon. The succubus believed Ella and Micah to be the prophesied Vampire Queen and Demon Son and enchanted them to fulfill a demon mating ritual.

To avoid any spoilers, I must stop there. This first novel in the trilogy introduces the story world and unfolds a sequence of events that lead to a resolution. However, there’s still a lot of story left to tell. I am really looking forward to where the author is going to take us in this trilogy.

About the Characters…

Fayth Devlin is a genius when it comes to character development.  I became invested in the heroine and hero of this story within the first few pages and found myself really caring for Ella and Micah and fretting through their moments of conflict.

Ella is a compelling and realistic character. While fearless as a hunter, she also showed very feminine qualities. This short sentence from the novel completely endeared me to Ella and had me laughing out loud because I can totally relate…

“Left alone in a man’s apartment, when he didn’t want me here in the first place, what was a girl to do? I snooped.”

Ever under the watchful and suspicious eye of the Agency’s leader, Ella consistently showed her dedication. Our heroine goes through a lot in this novel and it’s obvious that the author has taken the time to consider how a person would react in certain situations. Ella’s reactions are realistic. She shows bravery when needed yet cried when things became too much.  One of my pet peeves in novels is when the heroine never cries.  It’s ok to cry, as it’s a true to life reaction.

Micah’s character is developed with the same finesse showing many sides to his personality.  Initially, the author portrays him as a player and rather arrogant.  This quote is Ella describing his reaction to her lapse when smelling fresh blood…

“A gentleman would have overlooked my bloodlust, would have looked away and let me compose myself without snide remarks about fangs and cages. Not Micah. He loved two things: himself and throwing my flaws in my face. I’m not sure which was number one on his list.”

Micah is totally alpha male but then we see his caring side. Devastated at the thought he had hurt Ella during their 4 day ‘tryst’, he was in agony.  He tried to stay away from her thinking to protect her, even though their being apart made him ill and there was a possibility he would die.

On their relationship:
From page 1, the chemistry between Ella and Micah jumps off the page. It’s intense, uncontrollable and completely impassioned.  The sex scenes are explicit in this novel – very titillating and very well written.

“Micah was too close for me to sense anything other than him. The way my body reacted to his was unsettling. The man didn’t occupy space; he claimed it. The heat from his too-hot body lined my back and set my nerves on an edge in a way that was both unnatural and wholly unwanted…I needed to step forward and put some distance between us. Thinking became impossible when Micah’s hot breath fanned across the back of my neck.  My bloodlust was shoved aside with ruthless abandon. All that remained was an overwhelming surge of sexual lust…My galloping heart chased away my self-control. When my hands began to tremble, I shoved them into the front pockets of my tight leather jacket and hugged the lapels around me as if it would protect me. Micah took one more step. My body hummed with the restraint it took not to turn around and nuzzle his throat. The closer he got, the more erratic his thunderous heartbeat became. The rushing sound of blood was gasoline on a fire that was rapidly surging out of control.”

That blurb is from Chapter 1.  Just saying.  The rest of the novel is just as amazing!

Other Characters:
Most authors focus on developing the main characters so thoroughly, the supporting characters are sometimes neglected. Not Fayth Devlin. The other characters are expertly introduced and developed. Ella’s uncle Roy and sister Hannah, Micah’s father Richard and brother Eli, Julian (Ella’s sire), Lizbeth (villain) to name a few are very memorable and compelling.

Bottom Line

This is a novel that a lover of steamy Paranormal Romance will not want to miss out on!  The author shows her expertise at creating multi-faceted characters (both main and supporting), and integrating them into an exciting storyworld and plot.  This is a great introduction to the trilogy and I highly recommend you add this one to the top of your To Be Read list!

Happy Reading!!
