What's Hot in New Releases This Week - July 10th

Hello my lovelies! Another awesome week coming up!

First up…this is so different and exciting…three amazing authors have pooled together to create a series about the Fates of Greek Mythology. On Tuesday, the first one is released - Creating Fate. I LOVE mythology so I’ll be checking this one out for sure.  The next is out on July 24^th and the third is out Aug 7^th.

Our beloved Heather Killough-Walden is publishing 2 short stories in Vampire, Vampire on Friday 13^th.  She says it’s her lucky day so let’s show her some love.

Amber Jerome-Norrgard is a new-to-me author and I’m really looking forward to her collection of erotica short stories that’s coming out on Wednesday.  Mmm… the week is looking very very good!!!

Finally, anyone need a Barrons fix?  Karen Marie-Moning is releasing a graphic novel. A freaking FEVER Series graphic novel.  If I were one to squeal, I would be doing so right about now. Looks like the Hardcover is out Tuesday but the Kindle version isn’t out until the 24^th.  I’m thinking I’ll need the actual hardcopy of this one.

What's Hot in New Releases This Week - June 19th

Hello my lovelies! This week, three new-to-me authors have piqued my interest. Alma Katsu’s Taker series comes highly recommended by a friend of mine.  Simon Toyne’s The Key is on many a person’s “impatiently waiting for” bookshelf. Its the second in his Sancti trilogy and I notice that it already has 17  5-star and 20  4-star ratings.  Then Janet Evanovich ends off my week with a little paranormal humour telling us about Lizzie & Diesel’s latest adventure.

Title: Blood Lust Rising
Series: The Vampire Queen Trilogy, #1

Genre: Paranormal Romance/Erotica

Author: Fayth Devlin

I have to say this novel just flat out did it for me!  From the very start, the chemistry between Ella and Micah jumps off the page.  There is an intensity and completely impassioned feel to this novel.  A great love story and a solid engaging plot, this is a novel that any Paranormal Romance fan will not want to miss out on.

Title: Blood and Bullets
Series: Deacon Chalk series, #1

Genre: Urban Fantasy

Author: James R Tuck

My inner goddess now calls out for Deacon Chalk!  This fearless and brave Bad Boy Hero that protects humanity is now one of my favorites.  Confidence and power radiates from his very essence.  He’s scary and intimidating and the kind of man who will make you want to run and hide at first; but if you look a little closer, he’ll stir something deep inside that will no longer let you look away.  He’s a strong, hot, alpha male with a huge heart and not afraid to show it.

Title: Blood Possession
Series: Blood Curse series, #3

Genre: Dark Paranormal Romance

Author: Tessa Dawn

I cannot recommend this novel enough. Tessa Dawn’s Blood Possession is a 6 star read. Gods, it’s even a 10 star read!! The backstory on the origins of Vampyrs is original and well thought out, the characters are beyond compelling and the overall pace and tone is perfect, and the way the events unfold is perfection.  There is no doubt in my mind that you will find this novel unforgettable and you will find a connection with at least one character. Marquis is mine though…just saying!

Title: Lothaire
Series: Immortal After Dark, #12

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Author: Kresley Cole

I read this one and immediately started reading it again.  I even delayed writing this review not wanting to remove myself from the world that is Immortals After Dark.  As with all of KC’s other novels in this series, the characters are compelling and wonderfully developed.  Lothaire is the epitome of bad boy and stays true to his character and Ellie is one of the strongest heroines I’ve encountered and able to go toe to toe with Lothaire.  The story is passionate and sexy with some of the hottest and provocative sex in the series so far.  The epilogue will leave you stunned and feel like you were hit with a thunderbolt! 

This is my favorite novel of the series thus far although each in Immortals After Dark is consistently brilliant.  Its one of those novels that you read like a speed demon, your heart racing with anticipation but then when its almost over, you slow down fearing it will end too soon.

Title:The Society of Sinners

Author: Charity Parkerson

Incredible! This novel is like waking up Christmas morning to find that Santa brought you every single thing you wanted on your wish list!  This one is a compilation of five different short stories making it refreshingly unique in this genre.  Each one tells the story of a specific character; however, they are all interlaced by bringing characters in and out from the other stories as needed, and by keeping the overall plot the same. 

There is an overall intensity and impassioned feel to this novel.  Each short story is a heartfelt paranormal love story with lots of conflict and a healthy dose of sensuality that Charity Parkerson is famous for in her erotica novels.

Title: Deliverance
Series: The Mortal Path, #3

Genre: Urban Fantasy

Author: Dakota Banks

This one is another great adventure in Maliha’s quest for redemption.  In my opinion, Ms. Banks has created a second to none but far from perfect heroine in Maliha and she really makes us care about her and her friends.  This novel and the series are skillfully woven with mythology, intriguing plots and skillful characterization. This series is now one of my favorites and I found Deliverance to be the best novel in the series so far.  I’m anxiously waiting and desperate for the next one to come out!

What's Hot This Week: June 5th

Hello all my lovelies! Great week coming up!

So who’s still invested in the Anita Blake series? I admit I still get excited when LKH puts out a new one. So this week is a good one for me as Kiss the Dead hits the streets.  Erin McCarthy is giving us more of those hot racecar drivers she’s made us all fall in love with.  Marie Treanor has a brand spanking new vampire series that’s a spin-off from her Blood Awakened trilogy that is awesome by the way!  I have reviews for the trilogy on my blog if you are interested in reading them.  And the wonderfully talented Heather Killough-Walden is releasing her new Lost Angels novel and this time its Gabriel’s story. Yummy heroes and kick ass chicks everywhere!
